Hello Procrastinators! Feeling the post-Christmas/pre-summer blues and strapped for cash? Here's a list of the best ways to treat yourself on a limited budget. Enjoy!
Netflix binge. Got a day to kill but don't wanna spend a penny? Well then Netflix is your sanctuary. With series' like Breaking Bad, Dexter and American Horror Story and films like the Godfather, Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump, there's plenty there to fill your time!
Eat disgusting amounts of junk food. A perfect accompaniment to a Netflix binge. There's nothing better than eating a whole tub of ice cream to yourself guilt free.
Nap. Had a long, hard day? Still got a bazillion things to do? Have a nap. It sounds counter-productive but it will refresh you and allow you to lose yourself in the wondrous world of sleep.
Online shop. Not the cheapest exercise, granted, but go on Amazon/Ebay on buy the one you've wanted for ages. Set yourself a limit of £10 and see how far you can make it go.
YouTube. You can watch literally anything in the world, but you'll definitely end up watching hours of cat videos. But hey, who doesn't love seeing cats play the piano?
Have a bath whilst reading a book. The best combination ever. It will relax you and give you some time to yourself.

Hello Procrastinators!
We've all had dreams of being famous at something. So maybe your thing is that you want to be a screenplay writer? Here are some great sites to help you fulfil your dreams.
Basic:
For general advice about how to start going about writing a script from the very beginning this site is really helpful. It details how to to order your ideas and even how to get ideas for your next script.
For a how-to list that covers all of the basics then you should start here. It's got lists and pictures to help you understand the really pedantic technicalities of writing a script. The only problem is it's very long winded and with barely any examples of what a script should look like in full and the more complicated components.
You can find a good example of a script with all the bits and pieces labelled here.
Fancy:
Celtx is free online software that doesn't require a download and it saved me when I had a screenplay assignment due in but I had no clue where to even start. It configures everything for you, has the right settings and font and spacing and margins. I would definitely recommend this for when you know the basics to actually start writing your screenplay.
There's other paid software you can get but I'm a student. I like my freebies. Until I'm recommended a better one I'll probably stick with this. It's not too complicated and it gets the job done.
If you know any better software or websites just comment below!

Hello Procrastinators!
Because student nights in most places are usually midweek (because university means you get, like, five days off a week) here's a handy list to get you through the dreaded hangover. Headaches, stomach cramps, dry throat, over-emotional mood swings, the sweats - tick, tick, tick!
1. Laughter
The best way to get over your misery is to combat it with laughter! Get together with whoever you were out with the night before and talk about everything that happened. If nothing makes you laugh, your night out wasn't good enough.
2. Shower/bath
Depending on how swanky your student accommodation is you could have a bath but I'm assuming you're a right commoner like us, so make do with a hot shower instead. You'll step in like a zombie, cringing from the heat, and step out a new person.
3. A walk
This doesn't sound like the most appealing of options because you have to, y'know, get out of bed, but it will work. The fresh air will wake you up a bit and who knows, maybe there'll be a shop en route so you can treat yourself (see point 5).
4. Power nap
Just the opposite of walking, a power snooze can also help you to feel almost human. When you roll in at five am and wake up at ten because your house mates are clumsy idiots - that's not enough sleep to function on. That's not even half of what you normally get! Go and treat yourself to some rest.
5. Impulse buying
This can be done online or if you can muster up the energy to leave the house that's good too. Any amount of spent money will guarantee a better mood and relieved stress. Just try not to cry when the money gets taken out your bank when you're feeling better.
6. Water/juice
Seems obvious but alcohol dehydrates your body so you need to top your fluids up again. That headache that's ruining your life? It's because of dehydration. Get some OJ or H2O down you.
7. Greasy food
When you're hanging who doesn't dream of McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, Subway... The possibilities are endless. It might not be good for you but all food tastes nicer the morning after the night before.
Next time you go out and feel like literal walking death the next day, come back to this list. It could save your life.
